mulat

Joined the Superficial II: Frailty group exhibit last September 2008; composed of 33 local women artists at Pablo Gallery in Cubao X.

This was my exhibit entry. It took me a while to decide on what to do but I'm happy with the outcome... may pinaghuhugutan. Hehe. :)

spaces of the creative minds

Trying to understand and in search of the creative path, I decided to start a personal project shooting the personal/work spaces of local artists. I've always been interested in the creative mind: their process, inspirations, collections, how they live, and just everything about them. I'll be putting up a separate blog for this little project, but for now here's a little teaser :)

pinas

Buhay na buhay sa 2009! Lately, kapansin-pansin ang mga taong nakasuot ng Pinas-inspired clothing. Nakakatuwang makita ang talamak na Pinoy pride sa pang-araw-araw! Mabuhay kayong lahat :)

last shoot of 2008

This was my last personal shoot for 2008. Shot 3 layouts of dancer Frances Santiago at Bahay Nakpil (the former house of Andres Bonifacio's wife, Gregoria de Jesus) in Quiapo. Gregoria, fondly known as Inang Oriang, was the founder of the women's chapter of the Katipunan. Frances and I wanted to capture the spirit of Oriang's strength, and I hope we did her justice. A good way to end a good year.
